If you're betting as a side interest/opinion like me, what's the best way to manage a bankroll?

I know to be safe of going broke you should only bet a small%

But what if, like me, I risk about 20% Of my "savings" into sportsbetting each yr./season, is it better to risk more and take some bigger shots?

depends if you're trying to "hit the lotto" or not.

I like to stay in the game, get lots of action, and try to grind a slow profit. So I stick to 1-2% of bankroll per play.

You must take on added risk to get the added reward.

Simple rule, set aside an amount you can afford. Then if you are betting for action bet whatever unit it takes to interest you. If you are betting to win, be sure to bet at a unit that is below you, an amount where you aren't concerned about the stakes. Have to be careful of course, don't throw the money away on bad bets because its not financially significant to you, but winning bettors generally play below their means, as we call it in the professional gambling circles.
